Von Swiss Bowls wird verlangt, dass für die Teilnahme an internationalen Meisterschaften ein entsprechender Aufwand geleistet wird. Es werden, bei genügend Anmeldungen, in jedem Fall Interessierte selektioniert, welche bereit sind den zeitlichen und finanziellen Aufwand für Training, Qualifikationen und Event zu leisten.
